North Sails Waterlogs is a compilation of adventures recounted by sailors exploring the far corners of the world’s oceans.
Joining the collective spirit of a diverse cruising community, we share their journeys from the Pacific Islands to the Caribbean, from South Africa to Spitzbergen, and beyond.

Meet Our Adventurers

Adina

Leaving London’s metropolitan lifestyle behind for a time, Tom Partridge and Susie Plume have taken to exploring the world from the comfort of their Hylas 46 Adina. While the serenity of the Solomon Islands has been a highlight, in the past three years afloat they’ve cruised the Mediterranean Sea, the open water and striking islands… Read More

Naoma

From San Diego, the pair made their way down the coast of Mexico before… Read More

Arethusa

Accomplished One Design sailors Phil and Wendy Lotz have embarked on a new project: a liveaboard multihull. Their Gunboat 55 Arethusa is the ultimate escape vessel for tropical excursions between regattas. Freshly launched, their favorite destinations are yet to be determined, stay tuned for updates to Arethusa’s waterlogs.

Snoek

After a long winter of restoration, the van der Wal family was rewarded with a summer of sailing Narragansett Bay and the Elizabeth Islands. The Pearson 36 Snoek is a classic cruiser with a refit cockpit, new sails, and a new paint job. Paired with Onne’s famous lens, we are in for some photo-worthy exploration.

Alioth

In late 2015, childhood friends Vincent Moeyersoms, Olivier Moeyersoms, and Marc Vander Stricht bought the 53’ aluminum, French-designed exploration sailboat, Alioth. Why? Because these Belgian sailors share a love of extreme latitudes—now they have the vessel to get them there. Within five years they hope to lap the Americas on a zig-zag route reaching far… Read More
