We've chosen Aluula, an extremely light, strong and durable composite material to add extra rigidity the Orbit Ultra's inflated structures. The extra rigidity allows us to reduce the diameter of the LE and struts, for a faster, more forward-flying kite, with a more direct feel and even greater efficiency.
The kite weight overall isn't too different across the Orbit range, because despite the Aluula material being lighter, it requires more reinforcement - but the kite feels lighter in your hands.
The Orbit Ultra has five bridle attachment points. The extra point helps to support the thinner and lighter LE diameter, keeping the centre of the kite stable and ensuring consistent high-performance, especially in the high end.
Constant steps for constant power steps. In competition, you want a linear correlation between sizes, so stepping up or down a size gives you the same 12% difference in power, no matter what size kite you're flying. The new numbering system reflects the true size of the kite, simplifying the math so you can concentrate on the wind.
For lighter or more direct bar pressure options. The Orbit Ultra has two steering line attachment points.
