The DAME Design Awards, the prestigious design competition in the marine industry, recently announced the selection of 58 products from 28 countries across 4 continents as the final nominees for the 33rd edition of the annual awards. North Sails NPL RENEW, the groundbreaking lower-carbon footprint cruising sailcloth constructed from more than 90% recycled and bio-based sources, was shortlisted in the Shoreside Equipment & Materials category.
The METSTRADE Show will announce category winners on Tuesday, November 19th, in Amsterdam, when the judges will also reveal the overall winner selected amongst the eight categories.

North Sails' relationships with film, fiber suppliers and their shared commitment to developing more environmentally friendly products set the foundation for RENEW. With no compromise on performance, RENEW is a highly durable cruising performance cloth that features bio-based Dyneema and recycled polyester film and yarn. The raw material suppliers for RENEW are all Bluesign Certified and ISCC compliant to guarantee the validity of the sources and processes used in their manufacture.
