Wasserfest

"Wasserdicht" beschreibt die Fähigkeit des Stoffes, bei nassem Wetter Schutz zu bieten. Ein wasserabweisender Stoff verwendet eine DWR-Beschichtung oder ein dichtes Gewebe, um die Sättigung der äußeren Schicht eines Kleidungsstücks zu verhindern. Wasserabweisende Stoffe lassen Wasser abperlen oder stoßen es ab; sie sind jedoch nicht völlig wasserdicht.

Atmungsaktivität

Atmungsaktive Kleidungsstücke sind luftdurchlässig. Dieser Vorteil kommt vor allem bei körperlicher Aktivität zum Tragen, wenn sich die Körperwärme im Inneren des Kleidungsstücks erhöht. Die Atmungsaktivität des Gewebes ermöglicht den Feuchtigkeitsdampftransfer (MVT) oder die Fähigkeit, Wärme abzugeben.

Windwiderstand

Das Kleidungsstück besteht aus einem windundurchlässigen Material, das den Wärmeverlust verhindert, indem es die Körperwärme im Inneren des Kleidungsstücks hält.

Softshell Plus

North SoftShell+ wird aus einem dreilagigen Laminat hergestellt. Zuerst kommt eine gestrickte Oberschicht mit DWR-Finish. Die nächste Schicht ist eine Membran, die das Kleidungsstück atmungsaktiv und wasserdicht macht. Die Innenseite aus gemustertem Microfleece wurde entwickelt, um Gewicht und Wasseraufnahme zu reduzieren, die Bauschkraft zu erhöhen und Luft einzuschließen, um zusätzliche Wärme zu bieten. Sie ist leicht, fühlt sich weich an und ist angenehm zu tragen.
